While talking about the church planting work that I will be involved in with e3 USA, I created the graphic above to show the approach to church planting that we use. This model is taken from the example that we are given in the Book of Acts. As you read through the pages of the missionary account found in Acts, you will see that the disciples were involved in engaging the culture and moving directly into contact with the brokenness that existed in the land. They would then present a clear and precise gospel presentation that spoke directly to that brokenness and the hope that was found in the resurrected Christ. These new believers would gather together in homes and would be further discipled by the believers and they themselves would engage in evangelism from the very start. It was an expectation and a natural progression that those saved would engage those still in brokenness. The church would gather together for worship, prayer, teachings, observances of the Lord’s Supper, baptism, giving to those in need and to the work of the ministry and they would appoint leaders. This was church. See Acts 2:42ff
There was a healthy accountability that existed among the redeemed that they would live as Ambassadors for Christ and that they would go into the fields to seed, disciple, and gather new churches of believers. They were on mission. 2 Corinthians 5:20; “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.”
As a believer, your identity is to be that of an Ambassador for Christ. The vision of e3 Partners is to EQUIP God’s people to EVANGELIZE His World and ESTABLISH His Church. This is the ministry that I will personally be involved in. We are called Church Planting Catalysts. To catalyze means to accelerate a reaction. The reaction is in mobilizing God’s people to establish God’s Church. This means being intentional and holding each other accountable to the Great Commission. 95% of all Christians in North America will not win even one person to Christ in their entire lifetime. Equipping others to effectively share the gospel and sending them out into the field can be that catalyst that starts a movement.
